What It Does
The ++ANNOUNCE++ widget displays an "announcement" on the webpage. The announcement is a snippet of HTML that you specify in the section editor (see the announcements help file). The widget is context-sensitive, so it displays the appropriate announcement based on the page's location within the site.
Consider announcements to be flexible portions of your site template. Use announcements for calls to action, special offers, or other messages that you are likely to update at least semi-regularly.
The Markup Results
Announcements are raw HTML and are inserted into your pages exactly as they are entered into the section editor.

You may use this widget in all page templates.
Customizing This Widget
There are no customization options for the ++ANNOUNCE++ widget, but the content is completely up to you. The widget inserts whatever HTML you enter into the announcement field(s) of the section editor.
Styles
The ++ANNOUNCE++ widget does not use any styles except those explicitly included in your announcement HTML when you enter it in the section editor.
