Widget Tag
++BOTTOMTOOLS++
What It Does
The ++BOTTOMTOOLS++ widget is used on article pages to display the article's related links along with the "E-mail this page" and "Printer-friendly page" links. This widget is similar to the ++TOOLPANEL++ widget, but ++BOTTOMTOOLS++ does not include the main article image, and it displays in a more horizontal format.
The ++BOTTOMTOOLS++ widget cuts horizontally across the article page. It lists the article's related links (if any) on the far left and the article's e-mail/print links on the far right.
The ++BOTTOMTOOLS++ widget, as its name suggests, is commonly used at the bottom of article pages. This is considered good practice because it gives your site's visitors the option to view related links, e-mail the article or print the article after they finish reading the article.
It's not a bad idea, however, to include tool links in more than one place on the page. For example, by including the ++TOOLPANEL++ widget at the top of the article and the ++BOTTOMTOOLS++ widget at the bottom, you effectively bookend your content with options without distracting visitors from the content itself.
The Markup Results
The ++BOTTOMTOOLS++ markup is a block element, contained in a <div> tag. The related links and tool links are displayed respectively in left-aligned and right-aligned <div> tags.
