What It Does
The ++EDITPAGE++ widget displays a link to authorized users, enabling them to go directly to the edit page for the article being viewed. By default, the link text is an edit icon and the words "Edit this page," but you may change this text (see below).
In order for this link to be visible, one-click editing must be turned on in the site's widget settings, and the website visitor must have one-click editing turned on in Big Medium for their individual computer. Click here for complete information about one-click editing.
The Markup Results
The ++EDITPAGE++ widget inserts a JavaScript statement inside <script> tags. The JavaScript generates an inline element enclosed in <a> tags.
Templates Using This Widget
You can use this widget only in article page templates. However, you can add one-click editing links to other types of pages by selecting "Display edit icon/link alongside links to articles" in the "One-Click Editing" panel in the site's widget settings.
Customizing This Widget
Users with webmaster or administrator accounts can customize this widget in the "One-Click Editing" panel of the site's widget editor.
