Widget Tag
++HEADLINE++
What It Does
The ++HEADLINE++ widget displays the article headline on article pages, the section title on main section pages and the subsection title on subsection index pages.
The Markup Results
The ++HEADLINE++ widget is a block element, enclosed in a set of <h1> tags which use the "Article Headlines" style.
For some uses on the main section pages and subsection index pages, you may instead wish to use the ++TITLE++ widget, which is simply the "naked" name of the section or subsection without any HTML tags.
Templates Using This Widget
You may use this widget in all page templates, except the homepage:
Customizing This Widget
For article pages, the ++HEADLINE++ widget may be customized to include a subheadline. Users with webmaster or administrator privileges may do this in the "Article Page Format" panel of the site's widget settings.
Check the "Include article description as subhead below headline" option to use the article description as a subheadline.
Styles
The headline is displayed in the "Article Headlines" style. If the subheadline option is turned on for article pages, the subheadline is displayed in the "Article Subheadlines" style.
