++HNAVIMAGE++
What It Does
The ++HNAVIMAGE++ widget creates a horizontal, graphical navigation bar for the main sections of your site. The widget also highlights the section in which the user is currently located by using that section's horizontal rollover graphic. Other sections in the menu highlight with their rollover graphics when the cursor passes over them.
A section is included in the navigation bar only if a horizontal rollover graphic has been loaded for the section from its section settings page in the section editor.
The Markup Results
The ++HNAVIMAGE++ widget may be generated in one of two forms depending on your "Site Navigation" widget settings (see below).
- No table. The widget is an inline element that is not contained in an HTML tag. Each section graphic is enclosed in its own
<a>tag, with no spaces between the image links. - Table. The widget is a block element contained in a
<table>tag. Each section graphic is in its own cell of the table.
The rollover effect is generated by an external JavaScript file.

This widget may be used in all page templates:

- Main section page
- Subsection index page
- Article page
Customizing This Widget
Users with webmaster or administrator accounts may customize this widget in the "Site Navigation" section of the widget editor. To get there, click the "Widget Settings" link in the left-column menu of the Big Medium control panel. The following settings affect the ++HNAVIMAGE++ widget:
- Include link to homepage in main navigation. Checking this link includes the homepage in the navigation bar.
- Use tables for horizontal image-based navigation. This will use
<table>tags to format the++HNAVIMAGE++widget.
The height and width attributes of horizontal navigation graphics are determined by the "Image Sizes" settings in the site's widget settings:
- Horizontal navigation image width. The width of the image in pixels.
- Horizontal navigation image height. The height of the image in pixels.
In addition, section editor settings determine whether individual main sections are included in the ++HNAVIMAGE++ widget. For more information, check the section status help file.
Styles
The ++HNAVIMAGE++ widget does not use any styles.
