    Division Vice President: Jessica Hoelting

    This division works to maintain and expand a strong agri-business climate in the Jacksonville area by offering community education and sharing information on relevant ag topics. Networking events also include the annual Ag Banquet, Summer tour and Harvest Day or Day on the Farm. The group meets three to four times per year seasonally.

    BUSINESS

    • Information Technology (IT) & Human Resources (HR) Roundtables

    Promotion of the Jacksonville area in order to increase the amount of new money spent on goods and services is a primary function of this division. Business services including seminars, access to mentoring and building connections with other members are vital to this group. The Chamber Check program is a product of this division as well as the IT and HR Roundtable groups. Business Division meets the first Tuesday of every even-numbered month at noon. IT Roundtable meets on the fourth Monday of each odd-numbered month at noon and HR Roundtable meets at noon on the fourth Wednesday of even-numbered months.

    Serving as a catalyst for a well-prepared, robust and stable work force by working with educational leaders to encourage life-long educational and leadership development of our young people is the mission of this division. The division hosts the Educator Appreciation Reception, Business-Education Partnership Program and educational seminars. The division meets on the first Wednesday of even-numbered months at 4 p.m.

    GOVERNMENT

    This division works to influence governmental decisions while providing a conduit of information and education to our business community about relevant issues and topics. The division hosts an annual Drive-in to Springfield, legislative roundtables and a Washington D.C. Fly-in. The division meets twice yearly.

    HEALTH & COMMUNITY AGENCIES

    The focus of this division is the promotion of services, prevention, education and advocacy in relation to the physical and mental health needs of our citizens. The annual Be Aware Wellness Fair is held each fall in conjunction with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Quarterly articles of interest and seminars are also held. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of even-numbered months at noon.

    This group is responsible for the development and coordination of programs to promote networking and membership value. This energetic group plans and implements the social events of the Chamber including Annual Meeting, Celebrate Your Staff Luncheon, Steak Fry, and Dueling Pianos. The Volunteer of the Quarter and Business of the Quarter are recognized by this division. The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at noon.
